03/ 11/ 04 Cow by Jan Saudek

Prague, 03/10/2004/ From June to September, visitors to Prague will have a chance to see the unique open air art project entitled CowParade 2004. Two hundred life-sized and painted sculptures of cows, created by both established and up-and-coming Czech artists, will be placed in the most frequented streets and squares of Prague city centre, as a public art exhibition in the four summer months.

One of these cows has already been completed by the well known photographer Jan Saudek, and is standing in his atelier this week. Jan Saudek is unusual in painting the cow in oil colours. Before Jan Saudek started the painting, he made a new collection of photos of himself together with the blank, white cow.

Sara Saudkova has promised to start painting 'her' cow this week..
