04/ 08/ 04 Sara Saudek has a New Friend

From June of this year visitors and inhabitants of Prague will have the opportunity to enjoy the unique world open-air project entitled CowParade Prague 2004. Life-size statues will be placed in the most frequented places in the city for four months. The statutes of cows will be given a creative colourful finish by domestic artists, both unknown and established.

One such statue has recently been completed in the studio of Sara Saudek, who is expecting her second child. She has named the cow 'A Window onto Paradise'. Sára's concept of paradise is to be seen on the haunches of animals. She depicts an old building with an open window with a romantic view of the landscape. The work took 14 days to complete and in that time has become a part of the family and Sára's new friend.

The precise location of the cows in the centre of Prague is still being kept secret by the organisers. According to Michaela Heinleinová, project director, a CowParade Prague 2004 map is being prepared which will show visitors and inhabitants of Prague the precise position of the individual statues. The map will be distributed free in the centre of Prague and other places.
